• You’re given a start player and an end player, sometimes a specific club’s roster in a given season instead (e.g. the 2015 Blue Jays). Treat that the same as a player: anyone who was on that roster connects to it.
• Add anyone who was a teammate of the player on either open end of the chain: same baseball club, same season.
• The chain grows from both ends until they meet in the middle.
• Three players who don’t connect and you’re out. There’s no limit on chain length, but shorter is better.
